Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026.

This policy explains what the INFORMED website and mobile app (“INFORMED”, “we”) collect, why, and what choices you have. INFORMED is a news reader for verified market and IPO intelligence.

What we collect

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or device advertising identifiers, and we do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

How signing in works

Signing in is optional — everything on INFORMED is readable without an account — and passwordless. We send a six-digit code by SMS to the number you enter, through Amazon SNS acting on our behalf. The code is stored only as a short-lived hash and expires within minutes. On success we issue a session token, held in the platform Keychain or Keystore on mobile. Signing out ends the session.

Where it is stored, and who else sees it

Account and analytics data sits on our own servers, hosted in the EU, and is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. We share it only with infrastructure providers operating on our behalf — our SMS provider and our hosting and CDN providers. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or from this site — see Delete your account for both routes. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It erases your account record (name, phone number, any email) and every login code issued to your number, and it unlinks your reading history from you.

The reading events themselves are kept, with nothing identifying attached: once unlinked, a row records that an article was read and nothing about who read it, and we hold no way to map it back to you. Deleting the rows outright would silently rewrite published readership figures.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and goes when you delete it. Unlinked analytics events are kept for readership measurement. Login codes expire within minutes.

Your rights

You can use INFORMED without signing in. You can delete your account yourself at any time. Where the Indian DPDP Act, the GDPR or other applicable law grants further rights — access, correction, portability — we honour them; write to us and we will act on it.

Children

INFORMED is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are posted here with a new last-updated date.
