Editorial standards
INFORMED is an independent business publication covering India — from IPOs, earnings, and the daily market brief to the companies and consumer trends shaping the economy — reported from primary sources and verified before it goes out. This page sets out the standards every article is held to.
Sourcing
Every article is built from primary sources and cites them. INFORMED continuously tracks hundreds of primary sources for signals — prospectuses and regulatory filings, SEBI and RBI notifications, exchange disclosures, government and industry reports, and company results — and we report from these originals in preference to secondary coverage. We link the sources we relied on at the foot of each piece, so any figure we state can be traced back to the document it came from.
Verification
Every number we publish is verified, attributable to a primary source, and reviewed by a human. Before publication, a deterministic gate checks that each figure and direct quote in a draft is supported by its cited source, and figures are computed in code rather than restated by a model, so the numbers in an article are reproducible. Articles that clear the gate carry a Source-verified mark.
Source-verified has a precise meaning: every figure and quote traces to a cited primary source, and nothing material in the piece is unsupported or invented. It does not mean we vouch for the source itself, or that our analysis is the only reasonable reading. Claims we cannot ground are cut, not published.
Use of AI
INFORMED starts from signals. Each signal is ranked by importance, source, likely impact, and other factors, and a human sets the editorial plan for the ones worth covering. That human-verified plan is handed to AI, which pulls the relevant data across many sources and timelines — work that would take a person days to read, analyze, and extract — and drafts the article to the plan. A named human editor then reviews the result and is accountable for every published article. No AI output is published unverified.
Independence & conflicts
Our coverage is not for sale. Reporting is independent of every company we write about, and no company we cover sees an article before it is published.
As of July 2026, INFORMED takes no payment for coverage and runs no sponsored content. Neither INFORMED nor its editors hold positions in, or have a commercial relationship with, the companies in our current coverage. Where an editor has a holding or interest in a company we write about, we disclose it on that article. Our ownership is described on the Ownership page; if our model changes, we will say so here.
Accuracy & corrections
We correct errors promptly and openly. When we change an article after publication, we note what changed and when. If something looks wrong, tell us at [email protected] — see our corrections policy.
Not investment advice
INFORMED publishes journalism and research for information only. Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security, and none of it is tailored to your circumstances. Markets carry risk; do your own research, and where you need advice, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
Editorial responsibility
Editorial responsibility rests with Prasanna Munot and Harsha Mandlecha. You can read about who we are and our backgrounds on the masthead.
