ESC now, ADAS next
The deck frames regulation and operating economics as the driver of technology adoption in commercial vehicles, positioning the industry at a key growth inflection point . Electronic Stability Control, which helps prevent skidding and rollover by braking individual wheels, is already implemented for M3 buses except Type 1, with ESC for all M3 buses except Type 1 by 2026 and for all categories M2, N2 and N3 except city and certain N3 applications by 2028, alongside AEB for all categories in 2028 and lane and pedestrian alerts in 2029 .
